anujñātā tvayā brahmaṃs tapas tapsyāmi duṣkaram /
putrārthitvaṃ samuddiśya toṣayāmi surottamān //

Permitted by you, O brahmin, I shall perform difficult austerities;
aiming for the desire for a son, I shall propitiate the best of gods.
