īśvara uvāca:
śṛṇu devi paraṃ guhyaṃ nākhyātaṃ kasyacinmayā /
revāyāścottare kūle tīrthaṃ paramaśobhanam /
bhrūṇahatyāharaṃ devi kāmadaṃ putravardhanam //
Īśvara said:
Listen, O goddess, to the supreme secret which has not been told to anyone by me:
on the northern bank of the Revā is an exceedingly splendid pilgrimage place,
which removes the sin of killing an embryo, O goddess, grants desires, and increases progeny.
