narmadāyāḥ samīpe tu tāvubhau yojanadvaye /
na paśyanti yamaṃ tatra ye mṛtā varavarṇini //

Within two yojanas on both sides near the Narmadā,
those who have died there, O fair-complexioned lady, do not see Yama."
