prāvṛṭkālo hyahaṃ brahmā āpaścaiva prakīrtitāḥ /
megharūpo hyahaṃ prokto varṣayāmi ca bhūtale //

Brahmā said:
“I, Brahmā, am indeed the rainy season, and the waters are proclaimed [to be me];
I am spoken of as having the form of a cloud, and I bring rain upon the earth’s surface.
