yasyā darśanamātreṇa naśyate pāpasañcayaḥ /
caitramāse tu samprāpte ahorātroṣito bhavet //

by the mere sight of whom the accumulation of sins is destroyed.
When the month of Caitra has arrived, one should fast for a day and night;
