anyathā niṣphalaṃ sarvaṃ śraddhāhīnaṃ tu bhārata /
tasmāt samāśrayed bhaktiṃ rudrasya parameṣṭhinaḥ //

Otherwise, devoid of faith, everything is fruitless, O descendant of Bharata; / therefore, one should resort to devotion to Rudra, the supreme deity.
