narmadātoyapūtena bhasmanoddhūlayanti ye /
sadyaste pāpasaṅghācca mucyante nātra saṃśayaḥ //
Those who dust themselves with ashes purified by the water of the Narmadā / are immediately freed from the mass of sins; there is no doubt about this.
