sāṅgopāṅgāṃs tathā vedāñjapannityaṃ samāhitaḥ /
na tatphalamavāpnoti gāyatryā saṃyamī yathā //
Reciting daily with a concentrated mind the Vedas with their auxiliary and secondary branches,
one does not obtain that fruit which a self-restrained man attains through the Gāyatrī.
