pitāmahā ye pitaro ye cānye prapitāmahāḥ /
te samastā gatāḥ svargaṃ samāśritya mahānadīm //
The grandfathers, the fathers, and whatever other great-grandfathers [there were]—
they all went to heaven having taken refuge in the great river.
