varado 'smi mahābhāga durlabhaṃ tridaśair api /
varaṃ dāsyāmyahaṃ vatsa brūhi yatte vivakṣitam //
"I am a giver of boons, O highly fortunate one; difficult even for the thirty [gods] to attain, / I shall grant a boon, child. Speak what you wish to say."
