mārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
pāṇḍutīrthaṃ tato gacchet sarvapāpavināśanam /
tatra snātvā naro rājan mucyate sarvakilbiṣaiḥ //

Mārkaṇḍeya said: / Then one should go to Pāṇḍutīrtha, which destroys all sins; / having bathed there, O king, a man is freed from all sins.
