jñātvā viṣṇumayaṃ ghoraṃ mahadbhayamupasthitam /
dānavānāṃ vināśāya nānyo hetuḥ kadācana //
Knowing that a terrible and great fear made of Viṣṇu had approached / for the destruction of the Dānavas, there was never any other cause.
