tena devānvidhānoktānsthāpayanti narā bhuvi /
akṣayaṃ cāvyayaṃ yasmātkālaṃ bhuñjanti mānavāḥ //

Because of that, men establish gods on earth according to the prescribed rules, / since people thereby enjoy an imperishable and undecaying duration.
