teṣāṃ matamanādṛtya yadi varteta kāmataḥ /
sa mṛto jāyate śvā vai gatirūrdhvā na vidyate //
If one acts out of desire, disregarding their counsel, / he, upon dying, is indeed born as a dog; no higher destination is found [for him].
