agnipraveśaśca jale 'thavā mṛtyuranāśake /
anivartikā gatistasya yathā me śaṅkaro 'bravīt //
Entering the fire, or in the water, or death by fasting— / his destination is one from which there is no return, just as Śaṅkara told me.

|| iti śrīskānde mahāpurāṇa ekāśītisāhasryāṃ saṃhitāyāṃ pañcama āvantyakhaṇḍe revākhaṇḍe narmadeśvaratīrthamāhātmyavarṇanaṃ nāma caturviṃśatyuttaraśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ ||
