kāṣṭhapāṣāṇaloṣṭeṣu mṛnmayeṣu viśeṣataḥ /
mantreṇa loke pūjāṃ tu kurvanti na hyamantrataḥ //
especially in the case of [images of] wood, stone, clods of earth, or clay, / people perform worship in the world with a mantra, never without a mantra.
