candrasūryagrahe snātvā sopavāso jitendriyaḥ /
tatrādityamukhaṃ dṛṣṭvā mucyate sarvakilbiṣaiḥ //
Bathing during an eclipse of the moon or the sun, fasting and with senses conquered,
beholding the face of the sun there, one is freed from all sins.
