athavā bhaktiyuktastu teṣāṃ dānte jitendriye /
saṃskṛtya dadate bhikṣāṃ phalaṃ tasya tato 'dhikam //
Or, full of devotion, having prepared alms, gives them to those who are self-controlled and master of their senses,
his fruit is even greater than that.
