evamuktvā ṛṣīvrevā praviveśa jalaṃ tataḥ /
karāttaśūlā sā devī vyālayajñopavītinī //
Having spoken thus to the sages, the Revā then entered the water, / that goddess holding a trident in her hand, with a serpent as her sacred thread.
