viviśurnarmadātoyaṃ sapakṣā iva parvatāḥ /
dyotayanto diśaḥ sarvāḥ kuśahastāḥ sahāgrayaḥ //
they entered the waters of the Narmadā like mountains with wings, / illuminating all the quarters, kuśa grass in hand, accompanied by sacred fires."
