nabhogataṃ naśyati cāndhakāraṃ dṛṣṭvā raviṃ devavaraṃ tathaiva /
naśyanti pāpāni sudustarāṇi dṛṣṭvā mukhaṃ pārtha dharādharasya //
And just as darkness in the sky perishes upon seeing the sun, the best of gods, / even so sins that are very difficult to overcome perish upon seeing the face of the bearer of the earth, O son of Pṛthā.
