yudhiṣṭhira uvāca:
kimarthaṃ lokapālaiśca tapaścīrṇaṃ purānagha /
narmadātaṭamāśritya hyetanme vaktumarhasi //
Yudhiṣṭhira said: / For what purpose did the world-guardians perform austerity in the past, O sinless one, / resorting to the bank of the Narmadā? You should tell me this.
