śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
tato gacchenmahīpāla cāhalyeśvaramuttamam /
yatra siddhā mahābhāgā tvahalyā tāpasī purā //

The venerable Mārkaṇḍeya said:
Then one should proceed, O protector of the earth, to the excellent Ahalyeśvara, / where formerly the illustrious female ascetic Ahalyā attained perfection.
