mārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
dharmaputra tato gacchet karkaṭeśvaramuttamam /
uttare narmadākūle sarvapāpakṣayaṃkaram //

Mārkaṇḍeya said:
O son of Dharma, one should then proceed to the excellent Karkaṭeśvara / on the northern bank of the Narmadā, which destroys all sins.
