tatrasthāstanna jānanti narājñānabahiṣkṛtāḥ /
śarīrastham ivātmānam akṣayaṃ jyotikhyayam //
Dwellers there do not recognize it, men bereft of knowledge, / just as [they do not perceive] the self abiding in the body, the imperishable, unfading light.
