pitāmahamukhodgītaṃ śrutaṃ te kathayāmyaham /
yanme pitāmahātpūrvaṃ vijñātam ṛṣisaṃsadi //
I shall tell you what was sung forth from the mouth of the Grandfather and heard [by me], / what was learned formerly by me from the Grandfather in the assembly of the ṛṣis.
