piṇḍodakapradānābhyāmṛte pārtha na saṃśayaḥ /
evaṃ jñātvā prayatnena piṇḍodakaprado bhavet //
without the offering of rice balls and water, O son of Pṛthā, there is no doubt. / Knowing this, one should diligently become a giver of rice balls and water.
