śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
tasyaivānantaraṃ tīrthaṃ liṅgeśvaramiti śrutam /
darśanād devadevasya yatra pāpaṃ praṇaśyati //
The venerable Mārkaṇḍeya said: / Immediately following that is the pilgrimage place celebrated as Liṅgeśvara, / where sin is destroyed from the mere sight of the god of gods.
