153.28

sāmarthyaṃ brāhmaṇānāṃ hi vidyate bhuvanatraye /
liṅgapātaḥ kṛto viprairdevadevasya śūlinaḥ //

'Indeed, the power of brāhmaṇas exists throughout the three worlds:
the fall of the liṅga of the god of gods, the spear-wielder, was caused by the brāhmaṇas;
