sūrya uvāca:
varaṃ varaya bhadraṃ te kiṃ te manasi vāñchitam /
adeyamapi dāsyāmi brūhi māṃ tvaṃ ciraṃ kṛthāḥ //

Sūrya said:
'Choose a boon, may you be blessed! What is desired in your mind?
Even that which cannot be granted, I will grant; tell me, do not delay.
