saṃkrāntau yāni dānāni havyakavyāni bhārata /
apāmiva samudrasya teṣāmanto na labhyate //
The gifts, offerings to the gods, and offerings to the ancestors [made] at a transit of the sun, O descendant of Bharata—
like the waters of the ocean, no end of them is found.
