śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
ataḥ paraṃ pravakṣyāmi sarvatīrthādanuttamam /
uttare narmadākūle śuklatīrthaṃ yudhiṣṭhira //

Śrī Mārkaṇḍeya said: / Hereafter I shall declare Śuklatīrtha on the north bank of the Narmadā, / unsurpassable among all pilgrimage places, O Yudhiṣṭhira.
