śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
ātmānaṃ vañcitaṃ jñātvā tadā saṃgṛhya vāyasau /
preṣayāmāsa tīvreṇa daṇḍena yamasādanam //

Śrī Mārkaṇḍeya said:
Knowing himself to have been deceived, he then captured the two crows
and dispatched them to Yama's abode with severe punishment.
