pāpopapātakairyuktā ye narā narmadājale /
śuklatīrthe mṛtāḥ śuddhā na te madviṣayāḥ kvacit //
Men who are joined with sins and minor sins,
when dead in the waters of the Narmadā at Śuklatīrtha, become pure and are never my subjects.”
