pṛṣṭāvāgamane hetuṃ tamabrūva śṛṇuṣva tat /
ujjayinyāṃ mahīpālaścāṇakyo 'bhūt pratāpavān //
‘In Ujjayinī there was a glorious protector of the earth, Cāṇakya.
Having eaten on the twelfth day after his death, we have arrived at Yama's dwelling.’
