śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
nāsti lokeṣu tattīrthaṃ pṛthivyāṃ yannareśvara /
śuklatīrthena sadṛśamupamānena gīyate //

Glorious Mārkaṇḍeya said: / There is no pilgrimage place on earth among the worlds, O lord of men, / that is proclaimed as equal in comparison to Śuklatīrtha.
