saṅgameśvaramāsādya prāṇatyāgaṃ karoti yaḥ /
na tasya punarāvṛttiḥ śivalokāt kadācana //
He who gives up his life after reaching Saṅgameśvara / never returns from the world of Śiva.

|| iti śrīskānde mahāpurāṇa ekāśītisāhasryāṃ saṃhitāyāṃ pañcama āvantyakhaṇḍe revākhaṇḍe saṅgameśvaratīrthamāhātmyavarṇanaṃ nāmāṣṭapañcāśadadhikaśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ ||
|| Thus ends the one hundred and fifty-eighth chapter, named the 'Description of the Glorification of the Pilgrimage Place of Saṅgameśvara', in the Revākhaṇḍa of the Avantyakhaṇḍa, the fifth part in the glorious Skandapurāṇa, a great purāṇa in eighty-one thousand verses.
