gatvā manuṣyabhāve tu pāpacihnā bhavanti te /
tatte 'haṃ sampravakṣyāmi śṛṇuṣvaikamanā nṛpa //

having arrived at human state, they bear the marks of their sins.
I shall explain that to you; listen with a focused mind, O king.
