yathā nirgacchate jīvastyaktvā dehaṃ na paśyati /
tathā gacchanpunardehaṃ pañcabhūtasamanvitaḥ //

Just as the individual soul departs, leaving the body, and cannot see [it],
even so, departing, it enters another body endowed with the five gross elements.
