brāhmaṇāya pratiśrutya yo dānaṃ na prayacchati /
āhūya nāsti yo brūte tasya vāsastu saṃtatam //
He who promises a gift to a brāhmaṇa and does not give it, / or who calls [someone] and says "there is nothing," dwells there continuously.
