pitṛbhyo dīyate dānaṃ bhaktiśraddhāsamanvitaiḥ /
paścājjāgaraṇaṃ kuryāt satkathāśravaṇādibhiḥ //
a gift is given to the ancestors by those endowed with devotion and faith; / afterwards one should keep a night vigil by listening to true sacred stories and other [pious acts].
