ajñānatimirāndhā ye pumāṃsaḥ pāpakāriṇaḥ /
yuṣmadvidhair dīpabhūtaiḥ paśyanti sacarācaram //
Men who are blind with the darkness of ignorance and are perpetrators of sin
perceive the moving and unmoving world through beings like you who serve as lamps.
