yasmādvedetihāsaiśca saṣaḍaṅgapadakramāḥ /
viśrāntā brahmaṇā dattā nāma viśravaseti ca //
in whom the Vedas with the Itihāsas, along with the six limbs, words, and Pada and Krama steps,
found rest; by Brahmā he was given the name Viśravas.
