dvādaśādityanirdagdhāḥ śailāḥ śīrṇaśilāḥ pṛthak /
bhasmībhūtāstu dṛśyante na naṣṭā narmadā tadā //

Burnt by the twelve Ādityas, the mountains, their rocks shattered in pieces, / are seen turned to ash; yet the Narmadā was not destroyed then.
