yadi roṣasamācāro nirvāsyo nagarādbahiḥ /
na jātu brāhmaṇaṃ hanyāt sarvapāpe 'pyavasthitam //
Even if prone to wrath, he should be banished from the city; / under no circumstances should one kill a brāhmaṇa, even if he stands convicted of every sin!
