ṛṣaya ūcuḥ /
kena karmavipākena iha jātyantaraṃ vrajet /
dānadharmaphalenaiva kena svargaṃ ca gacchati //
The sages said:
By the ripening of what deed does one go to another birth here?
And by what fruit of the virtue of giving does one go to heaven?'
