na parvaṇi pitṛśrāddhaṃ na dānaṃ dvijasattamāḥ /
vrajanti narake ghore yānti te tvantyajāṃ gatim //
no ancestral offering on new- or full-moon days, no gift, O best of Brahmins—
they go to a terrible hell, and they attain the rebirth of an outcaste.
