na mātā na pitā bhrātā na bhāryā na sutāḥ suhṛt /
na kasya karmaṇāṃ lepaḥ svayamevopabhujyate //
Neither mother, nor father, nor brother, nor wife, nor sons, nor friend—
there is no tainting of another by one's deeds; it is experienced by oneself alone.
