yadā kanyāṃ hare rakṣaḥśāpāntaste bhaviṣyati /
tena me garhitaṃ karma śāpenākṛtabuddhinā //
"When you abduct a maiden, O rākṣasa, the end of your curse will come." / Therefore, with my intellect impaired by the curse, this despicable deed was done by me.
