śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
gopeśvaraṃ tato gaccheduttare narmadātaṭe /
yatra snānena caikena mucyante pātakair narāḥ //

Glorious Mārkaṇḍeya said: / Then one should go to Gopeśvara on the northern bank of the Narmadā, / where by a single sacred bath mortals are freed from sins.
